WHO ARE WE?

We are a secret organization devoted to policing and monitoring extraterrestrial activity on Earth.

...

...

...

No, we are definitely not. :-)

Did you have installed applications what had access to your private data, phone calls, but it has been announced as a wallpaper or a simple game application? Did you face application what organized your messages but in the meantime sent messages over network about the user to unknown recipient? So , I had. But on Play Store I did not know filtering those applications; I just faced with their permissions only before installing them. If you had earlier the same situation then your welcome at our site, at Appscrawler.com.

We're regular guys who had enough of malicious apps what are available over internet. We do not send you emails, spams and facebook messages about Aloa Vera products or about extra free loans. We do not write messages to your Facebook Timeline. We're just collecting app information and we're sorting them to you.

If you loging to our portal with your G+ or Facebook account we're retrieving only your name and e-mail from there. With it we're saving your time of registering and activation processes. Facebook and Google already verified your adresses. Your address is needed to be bound to your comments and save our portal from unbidden comments and spams.

If you found an application as malicious software, please let it know on this forum. Write a comment about it.

HOW IT IS PROFITABLE?

Currently it doesn't. Only income what are planned are from Google advertisements. Servers are really power plants. We hope we can cover maintanance from these advertisements. We think their number on pages is not interfering.

WHAT ARE PERMISSIONS?

Prior to install any Android application on your device the Android Operation System notifies users about permissions what have to be granted. Android applications run in a sandbox, an isolated area of the system that does not have access to the rest of the system's resources, unless access permissions are explicitly granted by the user when the application is installed. Before installing an application, the Play Store displays all required permissions: a game may need to enable vibration or save data to an SD card, for example, but should not need to read SMS messages or access the phonebook. After reviewing these permissions, the user can choose to accept or refuse them, installing the application only if they accept. The sandboxing and permissions system lessens the impact of vulnerabilities and bugs in applications, but developer confusion and limited documentation has resulted in applications routinely requesting unnecessary permissions, reducing its effectiveness. Several security firms, such as Lookout Mobile Security, AVG Technologies and McAfee have released antivirus software for Android devices. This software is ineffective as sandboxing also applies to such applications, limiting their ability to scan the deeper system for threats.
